In an effort to be much more productive-

I have decided not to fix the phone jack on my portable, and just use the Internet when I am too tired to create stuff.

The plan is *really* working well!

In just the past week, I have done a months worth of work and zine making!

Because I am no longer entranced by the bright and colorful computer screen which offers me OH SO MUCH eye candy, I have been working on SO many projects all at once!
I hope that 2008 proves to be a FUN and fruitful year!

Amber

Something that I exchanged a holiday gift for...

I LOVE her!

Although she has glue gun glue showing in several places, I just love the fairy!

I acquired her and another fairy that I will post at another time by exchanging an overpriced piece of jewelry that I got for the holidays.

I wish that people would take more care in hiding glue when making their work.

Still, she is fun to look at. When I can, I will use an OTT light rather than the soft light which looks too reddish and take another snap of her.

The ATCs in the background are made by Heather Kayser and Lucy Lee.

Rusty Bezels up for trade!

I wanted to share these cool things that I dig up from a factory field...
I have rusty and not so rusty silver toned pieces that can be used to create tiny frames or even fill with images, text, objects & resin.

They are found objects and should be well cleaned before use.
I will not clean them prior to shipping as the charm that some of them have is that they are dirty and "found".
If you are interested in a trade, GREAT! I am in search of the following.
Flat back glass and crystal rhinestones.
Images like that of Art Chix ---or other vintage and colorful color copies with interesting images.
Rubber Stamps- make me an offer.
Silver and blue German glass glitter.
Diamond glaze.
Semi precious beads, fresh water pearls, crystal beads, fancy and colorful art beads too.

If you have other items to trade, let me know what you have. I just might be interested!
Thanks I am on the East Coast in NYC USA

Shake it baby!!!

Oh my! Aaron Behrens!
(*giggles*)
Ghostland Observatory was on PBS on Austin City Limits.

It's not his looks- It was his stage presence... Yeah well, I think that he is cute too...
The music was funky, fun and free, but what really got me into the curious sounds and stylings of this musical duo- Aaron dancing!
It was just so much fun to watch this guy all amped and jiggity.
Tell me that watching him does not make you feel like moving too?
He moves like Bowie, Mercury, Jagger, INXS, Prince and Run DMC...

I am sitting here listening to the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland soundtrack. The sound quality is SUPERB! The CD is also ripped with the soundtrack to Petulia. I have not seen it though.

Right now I am catching up on some overdue gifts. I am constructing several sets to wear and have begun to PAINT again!
YAY!
Back to wire wrapping----
By the way---- I assembled *22* Beau Ideal #3.5 issues!

~*Shine*~

When the world gets in your way and you feel blocked or stuck... Shine
When others around you lose their grip and spin out of control... Shine

When the place you live in doesn't feel safe and warm... Shine
When fear and pain creep around you and doubts start to form... Shine

Just SHINE

Be like the sun and blaze bright.

The light that beams forth will blind those in your way or shine on your obstacles... Walk past them
Those who are out of control and are losing their way, will see the light and be drawn to it, so lead them.
The home you live in will be filled with warmth and feel much safer when the light is burning within you all day and all night.
When light is shed on the situation the doubts flee away, the pain is not as bad, and life makes sense.

FUN WITH FELT!

Last night I started to work on some tiny felt purses for a presentation.

They say that art reflects your mood and deep thoughts.

The colors are more vibrant in person.
I will post the picture of it after I sew it all down and add in some decorative stitches.
I think "she" will become a pillow case.

Fun fun fun.

On another note... check out my little sidekick... ~*SourPuss*~

I've been busy with my hands and eyes.

I have not been expressing my self through blogging much lately.
Rather, I have been creating and thinking... A LOT ... and thanks to ~*Suzanne*~ I am even more busy with my hands making simple pretty things... Eye candy galore!
FUN FUN FUN... DH is delighted at the collection building up on the piano.
It looks pretty!

Halloween was kinda cute this year. I wasn't around the whole night, but for the time that I was it was sweet.

Many of the kids just wore their own clothes though.

One little girl said to me (while I offered her a choice from an array of goodies on a tray), "I like the way you think!"
That was so cute! She looked like she was in the 3rd or 4th grade...
I offered rhinestone stud earrings, movable jointed animal rings (metal cast), lollipops, vellum quotes, the new Ferrero Rocher dark chocolate truffle "bon bons"..(YOU WILL LOVE THEM!!!) and tons of other boxed candy treats left by the landlord to hand out.

It was cute to hear kids walk away saying "wow this is the coolest!"
hehehe
That made my night!

For me, the fun is in the sharing, giving, socializing an' meeting of neighbors.
I look at it all as a way to reach out an' make people smile.

It was a success!

The kids will be ringing the bell later....

Probably not going to even be here when they ring the bell...

I do miss getting into the whole dress up and fun of the day.

Of hanging out with a gang of kids an' doing fun things-

while collecting coins and treats from happy old neighbors.

Life changed.

Now I am one of the old neighbors handing out treats and tricks to the little ones.
Oh well...
I do make a point of handing out toys and jewelry as well.
Candy is so not good for kids especially on a school night.
Yet I offer the passing adults and older teenagers the candy as they pass the porch. Walking home from a long day at work or on their way to a party.
They often light up that I offer them candy to choose from.
Adults, I think, should be ENCOURAGED to be a part of the fun!
Well, that is jut me.
I like to involve people in events.

The doodle, I just made today before the sun came up.
Actually, it is still dark out. It is 6:30 am.
I hope it is not too cold today.
*Smiles*
Have fun, be safe, and above all, be HAPPY.

twenty twenty twenty four hours to go-o-oh--- I wanna be sedated...*too much to do!*

I cannot sleep. Too much to do...
Deadlines left and right.
Requests for samples, requests for book art, requests for zines, for jewels, for pages, for layouts.... hmmmmm....
I kinda like it... yet I have trouble putting myself in bed.
I have been terrible to myself as far as getting to sleep.
Well... it is a constant art party in my head and I don't want it to end.

I didn't get to sleep last night. In fact it is now 5:20 AM and yet to sleep...
I was making doll art for the last 3 hours. You can NEVER consider me a lazy daisy! Not a lazy bone in me!
It would be nice however if my body could keep up with my energetic mind.

Here are two images that I concocted and will be making cute plushies with them.

Splendiferous BEAUTY and LIFE!

The sun beams breaking through the clouds were INTENSE. I changed the light value in PS to show how STRONG it was. The freedom and peace we felt through the entire day was incredible!

The two pictures combined, don't even show the whole view. I had to catch the two ends and paste them together --that is why the angle in the pics are off from one another.

It started to fade a few seconds after we got home, and so we caught it just in time.
I posted two of the pics that I joined together to show how big it was.

I would like to have a super duper machine

Above: My Paris purse

Well, I want a great machine.
The machine and programs that I *need* for the type of work that I hope to do, not just want is the price of a used car!
($3,500) with the feet and threads etc.
