Hey Girl, I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I read your wonderful question though and got to thinking about it...One of the things I would LOVE to do if I ever got the chance is tour the beautifully decorated windows the store have decorated for the holidays. Another would be visit Rockefeller Center. See the Christmas tree & the ice rink there.

What are you & your homey going to be doing for the holidays? Whatever it is I hope you both have a wonderful one.

Hope you are doing good.

GB Hugs,
Amy

Hi Amber..
I love Christmas in NYC too!
My fav thing to vist is Rock Ctr,
theres no place like it..last yr I took my daughter skating on the rink! We always light a candle in St Patricks to end the day.
If you haven't done it yet, please do go to the "top of the Rock"..the nights up there are the best!

I miss NYC--I grew up in NJ and went to Rutgers--I took the train into the city practically every weekend, as I dated a guy who went to Juilliard.

Hmm--if I could have a fantasy day in the city, I would definitely head to Magnolia Bakery for a cupcake covered in sugary icing, go to the MOMA, take in a show or concert, have an amazing dinner in the Village, go dancing, stay up all night, and get a great late night snack at a 24-hr diner.

Then sleep in the next day!

Great blog you have!

One of my favorite memories was when I took a train from Poughkeepsie to NYC in a major snowstorm to visit my boyfriend who was a manager at the Paramont Hotel, the one with the million dollar platinum staircase..ultra Euro chic place. We ate, drank, went to Don't Tell Mamas.....hmmm....I have to say, he was one of the most fun men I dated..

Now, I guess getting lost at the MET for a day, followed by a trip to Kate's Paperie, a nice dinner at some local intimate restaurant, followed by a movie or show would be perfecto! You know, I think when it is a bit warmer, I shall take a day off and do just that! Maybe even get a room somewhere so I can do it twice!
