Still practicing!

How do miniaturists keep dust and micro bits of fibers from polluting their work?
I think I want to work in a "clean room"- the kind that is used for making microchips, dust free!

Here are some pieces that I've been experimenting with. The heat makes it hard to work with the clay because it melts the fine details, even if I barely touch the piece!

I'm posting these photos to share what I've been playing around with.
The pieces aren't planned, they just happen. I don't yet measure out the pieces, so everything is free form.  No specific scale. I still need to figure out how to scale everything... Anyone know what the correct size of a cupcake should be at 1:12 scale?

Think of these as prototypes.
All a work in progress, experiments and just for fun!
100% polymer clay, no silicone, no resin, no air dry, this is all just polymer clay.

Before you judge my work as sloppy or messy,
This is not easy to do. If it were.
my work would look spectacularly perfect.
I am still practicing! And that is my small finger in each photo, my pinky.

You do incredible work. I couldn't do that kind of thing if my life depended on it. What patience that must take to work that small and come out with a gorgeous piece of art.

how could anyone say anything about your work being sloppy, I am so amazed every time I see something you create! I know for a fact I can't do it!!! so tiny and so realistic, and I think, how do you do that! they are all so cute and so delicious looking :D

they look like you could eat them right up, lol, now I have to go find something sweet to eat of my own, haha
