~*Hi!*~

Hi Everyone!
It's been a very busy weekend!
I worked nonstop until today, on getting in some last minute submissions to a new Polymer clay magazine in the Netherlands. The ladies that run the magazine are so cheerful and friendly which makes working so hard on these projects for them, so very worth the time and energy! Mini cakes and slices of cake!... The issue will be out later this summer!

Soon, I'll be posting about the Renegade craft fair in Brooklyn a few weeks back. It was a lot of fun for us to attend and we met some awesome artists and designers. I'll update the blog soon, I just wanted to say, Hi!!!

~*&- Welcome to the new followers who found me through the Mini Food blog and Flickr!*~

How easy is it to make these polymer clay miniatures?

For those who wonder how easy or difficult it is for me to make these sculptures out of polymer clay, especially on a hot day- get some marshmallow fluff, some taffy, chocolate chips, warm caramel and some pudding. Put some on a plate or some wax paper and try to make a miniature art cake out of it. Don't let anything but the taffy touch your hands or it will melt and stick to you which will distort the work. You can use a skewer, a toothpick, a fork, knife and spoon to work with. That is what it's like. ;o)

Miniature ~*CAKE!*~ 1" across the top of the cake.

This is unfinished, I will be adding more "pearls" to complete the pattern. The cake will be sliced open, textured and made into charms to wear with 14k gold filled bails.

Apparently, I need to prove the size as many do not believe me at my word. So- here is a set of photos showing comparative sizes against my own hand, a tape measure and I screwed the cap back onto the gallon water bottle, whence it came..

Citrus Religieuse- 1/4 inch wide- even smaller than the last...

The lighting in this room is rather dim, however, I wanted to share photos, even though the color is not showing up correctly- of what I was working on a little while ago. It's exciting for me to be able to accomplish this!

All polymer clay except for the little glass golden ball at the top.
