Patricia Winter- A miniature crazy quilt, hand stitched, and florally embroidered with her very own beautiful and rich hand dyed silk ribbon. The image she used is a child with lovely glittered fairy, wings. The embellishments in this piece include some of the smallest pink seed beads you might ever see in your life along with an adorable flower sequin. Pat added a small metal charm whic says "Imagine" to the lower right hand side, and that is wired with a pink and red glass flower bead and topped with small seed beads.

Monica Magness- A miniature faux canvas featuring a bare chested diva striking a shy pose. Monica added very small text onto the bottom of this charm with a tiffany set chaton rose rhinestone capping it off. One of the words on this piece is "Imagine". The sides are sparkling with glitter and the piece is glazed nice and shiny!

And-

Michelle Walker- A dazzling holographic pink drop with faceted beads nestled within. When the light hits it, it really shines a lot. Michelle painted the glitter mixture on the larger bead herself.

The body of the necklace is made of a velvety ribbon which has been doubled up so that the back sode which touches the skin is also velvety soft.

There is a length of pink lace trim sewn on for added texture. 2 matching thread appliques are added along with Swarovski crystal center.

There are 22 tiny pink floral sequins mounted onto a deeper pink metallic round faceted sequins sewn along the edge. Each one is topped of with a real silver plated glass faceted bead.
The two silver and pink rhinestone end beads were donated by Orla Swift.

The chain used is not real silver, but is silver tone and a barrel clasp completes the chain.

Play time! Used polymer clay again!

I have not used polymer clay for many months and I was feeling pretty good!

Physically that is. I REALLY miss working with the clay! It is one of my most favorite mediums to work with.

I wanted to make some holiday treats for friends and family and make some things to sell on Etsy for the holidays.
Seriously though, if you use any older brand of polymer clay, and don't feel well... It is not in your head.

Heather's Birthday, Portals, Odd Ball Charm, Pam's cards, Ebay, Etsy, DOODLES and----

It was a busy day for me! I've been up since 6:30 am and managed to get a lot done so far.

I'm still collecting info for my swap zine- Oodles of Doodles.
It is a lot better than the first issue.
I will tell you more about it in the coming weeks ahead!

I am posting a few things on Ebay during the next few weeks until the end of the month to raise money using the THINK PINK charms that were donated from the charm swap.
If you are interested in the info be sure to keep posted on the
Charity charm blog- http://www.makesawish.blogspot.com/ I will be posting there later today.

I am also excited about all of the pictures I am taking with my VERY new camera for ETSY!
LOTS of listings. Just for the fun of it.

Heather Bluhm's birthday is TOMORROW.

Be sure to wish her well!

~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!!!*~

I hear that she has issue #6 of Portals ready to order!

Alma Stoller sent me a copy of her ODD BALL CHARM zine.
It is really cool how she recycles old zines to put her pages together.
It is FULL of her face doodles.
And several artistic materials to use in your art.
THANK YOU ALMA!!!

This is a sultry issue!

I also got a fun sample package of handmade Christmas cards from Pamela Huntington in the mail today.
She has such a way with Victorian and vintage imagery and mixes it with HUMOR!
All of the cards are dusted or dappled with glitter.
I found a few favorites- great for sending to all types of people who celebrate the holiday!
THANK YOU PAM!

Links to Alma, Heather, Pam and The Think Pink CHARMS exchange are on my sidebar.
Check them out!
You can also click each underlined paragraph or line to visit their sites.
The links are set up to see examples of what they sent.

Gotta run!
Lots to do!

Have a HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!

TAG! ~*I'm it!*~

I've Been Tagged
I must share six quirky facts about myself
and tag six of my blog friends!
Thanks, JoAnnA of Mosshill for the task!
Here are the official rules…
Link to the person who tagged you.
Mention the rules.
Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular
details about yourself.
Tag six other bloggers by linking to them.
Go to each person’s blog
and leave a comment that lets them know
that they too are now tagged, and given this same task!

~*6*~ things about me, that no one really knows about my life/past-
I promise that they are quirky, boring or unspectacular!

QUIRKY-
and involves shameless name dropping of other people-

#1- You already know my name is Amber.
But what you don't know is that while in HS,
I was ~*playfully*~ teased by another Amber
who would roll her eyes or give me a crooked
smile when we would pass in the hallway.
Her deal was that she was no longer "unique"
as Amber was not too popular a name yet.
She was really pretty and sweet. And I
actually didn't mind it, being teased over
something so trivial!
She is going by the stage name Maude Maggert now,
and is Fionna Apple's older sister.
I guess she REALLY wanted a name that would
make her unique! I kept my name!

BORING-

#2- I just took a shower.

QUIRKY-

#3- I can change my emotions in an instant to fit circumstances based on rational thinking.

#4- One of my interests is guessing where people are from, just by looking at them or listening

to them talk.

UNSPECTACULAR-

#5- I have to start selling my art and supplies soon.
I've not sold anything in a LONG time. I prefer giving gifts, charity and swaps... But the $$$ thing going on around here is not too good.

#6- I learned from Nina Bagely a while back that she says her name like 9-a (Nine-a not Neena).

That's that!
Boring, unspectacular and quirky!
I WILL TAG PEOPLE WHEN I HAVE SOME TIME!
*Smile*

I voted! Now I am looking forward to watching the show.

Leave it to me to rattle the nerves of the assistant manning the voter booth when I snapped a picture of my district's voting booth signs.

She said to me with fear in her voice, "NO! You cannot do that!" I asked if I could take a picture or video of my vote in the polling booth.

All of the volunteers who heard me ask looked like deer in the headlights of an oncoming tractor trailer.

They alerted me that police were called in the voting area earlier while a man was recording a video of the room.

I had never heard of rules that didn't allow it, so I was just taking a chance.

Well, I just smiled and asked if they could make sure that I really could not snap a picture of my own vote within the booth.

A man wearing a curly wig was called over and he called someone at "headquarters" and asked if a voter could take a picture inside of the poll.

He was so uptight, but I kept smiling.

I figured that the worst that would happen is that he would just find out that I couldn't do it after all.

Well after holding up the line and letting my neighbor go before me, the man still on hold, wearing the curly wig said "No pictures alright?"

*sigh*

The lady assisting the voters, was practically holding the curtain open to see if I was taking a picture or not. She also enjoyed looking in at those who went in to vote before me...

Luckily I was tall enough to block her.

I voted

I am happy that I went.

It is always fun for me.

ALWAYS exciting!

Whether who I like best wins or not.
