OH PLEASE? Send me HAPPY thoughts... I will feel them!

If you can think something nice about me, hold that thought please.

There is a lot of negative energy swirling around me and I am so not interested in it.

So help me chase away that mess!

(Even if you do not believe it will do me any good if people think good thoughts about me, just do it for the sake of doing it.

I already KNOW that it works!- And you do not have to tell me about it- you do not have to leave me a comment.

I WILL feel it!

  8. Do you remember the part of the book "Dune" where the main character learns to let his fear just wash over him, and he remains strong and solid in its wake? I really clicked with that thought and find that it works so very well for those confrontational and negative situations with other people. But the change is in your own head; you let the emotional attachments of others just wash over you, around you, and beyond you, and it doesn't stick or affect your true self in any way. Some Buddhist meditative state practice doesn't hurt too, of course, but a quick re-read of that section of Dune might help you to "click" too, into that pattern of thought.

Are you in NYC? If so, you live in a city that is permeated with the energy of people and their thoughts. I find that being in nature is very healing, and perhaps when you get caught in the negativity time warp you can go and wrap your attention around a plant or find a corner of a park to renew your inner connection to light and vision and your true strength.

Be reminded however, that when we change our own patterns, those around us feel the alteration and sometimes are threatened by what they do not understand about how they are feeling. I've felt some bizarre reactions from family members especially when I've successfully dropped some negative or dependent pattern of my own. If you know that might be coming, it's a bit easier to deal with.

Your jewelry work is spectacular AmberDawn. Those pins in your recent swap leave me speechless with admiration. I only hope that my book charms will meet the grade for your swap group.

Thank you so much for sharing your work with us.

  9. Hi AmberDawn,

Do you remember that part of the book "DUNE" where the main character is learning to let his fear wash over him and not touch his center self? I think there was even a poem or phrase that he repeated that helped him focus. When I read that book, ages ago, I just "clicked" with that imagery and have thought of it many times over the years when confronted with other people's negativity and their emotional attachments. You just try to focus on your own inner strength of character, and let the drama of others wash over you. Of course, it helps to have some Buddhist meditation practice under your belt too, to balance and support you in stressful situations. Being in nature helps too - go and hug a plant or escape to a park when the ugliness of others affects you. But changing yourself is the key to learning to be non-reactive. And when we change our own dependent patterns, those around us, especially family, react bigtime. I have had some bizarre experiences when I have cleaned up my own act because my friends or family have felt a change in the ethers or something that they could not comprehend. But you just learn to not be affected by others. It IS possible and I will hope the best for you in your own life's process of unattachment.

    All the best,
