Amber Dawn's ~* BEAD SOUP! *~ My partner is Cheryl K Roe.

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party!
What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?
This event was started by the ~*AWESOME*~ Lori Anderson
 http://www.PrettyThingsBlog.com <---This is her blog!
Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:

~ A focal
~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)
~ Some coordinating spacers or beads

Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.

I've seen posts on Lori Anderson's blog about the Bead Soup for a few years now and thought that the concept was good! It allows designers to share some of their own stash and in turn get some from their partners to play with!

This year I joined this event thinking, "Maybe Lori can pair me up with a glass bead maker!" and she did!
Cheryl K Roe.
There was a catch! We had to be sure that we sent our partners pieces and colors that they don't usually work with but nothing that they would hate.
My partner made a focal flower out of glass with a bubblegum pink center, transparent amethyst petals and black "pollen" spots. She also sent a couple more transparent flowers, some black frosted/matte raked beads, and an assortment of spacers, faceted beads, transparent pressed glass leaves and a floral clasp.

So, using what Cheryl sent me,
I added some matte gold to the petals and leaves in order to tone down the shine to match better with the black matte beads and I added on some rhinestones to tie the colors together with the foiled & faceted beads.
~*THANK YOU CHERYL!!!*~

Lori wanted everyone to work outside of their comfort zone and let me just say, I did!

Here's what I made!

((((The idea is to move the designers out of their comfort zone.))))

I really like the unusualness of your piece. I especially loved the black and white picture. It lets you focus on the different shapes and textures of the piece by eliminating the color. But I have to say the color picture brought even more interest to your piece. Great Job!
